There something about sunsets that keeps me writing. As second semester of my medical school career marches by, I sometimes loose focus on what to write or how to write. But then, a classmate/friend of mine will pull me to a beach or a restaurant with a view that reminds me of why I write. It all about capturing the human spirit. The wonder and the hope that comes from sunrises. The ability to take a pause and be amazed that something so peaceful can be seen within the day.

I will think to myself that if I can just capture the emotions of the colors of the sky, then all will be alright.

This post is not just about sunrises however. But also an announcement. While, I am still working on the second book of the Chronicle of Blessed, I also have been putting together a small book of poems to publish through Barnes and Nobles. More details in the upcoming week on that but I am exicted to share that part of my writing with everyone. Writing poetry has been a major part of my life since middle school and I thought it was time to actually share that with everyone.
