Happy National Book Lovers’ Day, here to all the people who make writing worth doing because without the readers there would be no authors.
I went around asking family and friends what their favorite book was and got a mix of batches of books. Which I found to be interesting because it shows that there is a book for everyone. My mom said that her favorite book was the one I wrote so shout out to my mom. My sister had a book from her childhood that has stuck with her all these years. Someone said Twilight.
My favorite book is Zemindar by Valerie Fitzgerald. It was one of the first epic historical romance novels and I fell in love with it. While it may not be perfect to all, it was an amazing read. There are many other books that I look up to. Without books like Inkheart by Cornelia Funke or Harry Potter, my love of fantasy would never have been sparked.

But of course, my love of books did not stem from the love of just reading them myself. My mother would spend hours reading the books to my siblings and me. From Percy Jackson to 39 Clues. We would gather around to hear my mom read these titles to us. And what a magical time was that. My siblings and I were united in our need to hear the story and isn’t that what books are really about? Bringing people together. It takes a fictional story or a nonfictional fact and spreads it to people so that we are all a little bit more connected to each other. There lies the power of words—the building of love and connection.
Comment below what your favorite book was and as always thank you for being on this adventure with me!
