Happy December!

We are currently in the midst of the final stretch of school. There seem to be a never ending list of exams. This past Tuesday was an exam, next Thursday is another exam, and then, on the 19th, I’ll take my final before heading home for the holidays!

I can say for certain that everyone at my medical school is ready to be home for the holidays. While the island is beautiful, the holiday spirit feels incomplete without the fresh, crisp coolness of winter and the familiar faces of family. In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be boarding our planes, hoping our parents have baked cookies—or, for me specifically, a dairy-free gingerbread cream pie. Honestly, though? I’d settle for a warm hug from my mom and dad.

Homesickness always seems to creep in around this time of year. I’m already looking forward to sharing my bed with a cat and a dog again and having cozy movie nights with my sister. As my sister once said, “I miss you, but I’m glad you’re there becoming a doctor.” The show must go on, and exams must be studied for.

But in between all my studying, I’m proud to announce that my Christmas e-book will be available on Nook starting Monday, December 9th!

More information on this wonderful story on Monday but I am so exicted to share with you guys. 2023 and 2024 has been just a huge step in my writing and while there has been ups and downs. I am proud to say that I am working to put myself out there and show my work to the world. And could not have gotten here without any of you guys. So Thank you all.
