Saturday Newsletter: Exams, Exams and some more Exams

Hope this post finds everyone happy and hopeful ☀️🌄🌻😎

I’ve completed yet another exam, and this one was a fight to the finish. The week leading up to it was—putting it nicely—not great. I lost an entire study day and had to bounce back after experiencing a particularly rough, complicated day. So, when I opened my score report last night, I braced myself for something that would make me cry. But to my surprise, I saw a grade that was above average—not my best, but far from disastrous.

For a moment, I wrestled with my emotions. Part of me wanted to be upset that I didn’t quite hit my usual mark, while the other part was just relieved that it was over. And with my final exam of the semester coming up next Friday, I didn’t even have time to dwell on it. But honestly, there was no reason to feel bad—I did the best I could given the time I actually had to study without extra distractions.

After the exam, I got to experience something completely new—my first boating tour. A group of us set out for a sunset cruise with dinner and two swimming spots. I saw two shipwrecks, swam with a turtle, and honestly—if that isn’t cool, then what is? One of the shipwrecks was actually a drug boat that had been caught. If anyone needs a cool book idea, I say travel to different islands and write about their shipwrecks. The locals have the best stories, and I’d definitely read that book.

Funny enough, it first started to rain before we were at the boat which caused people to get antsy about whether the trip would even happen. On top of that, some folks were late, which didn’t help the mood. But once we were on the boat, cruising around the island, all of that disappeared. Suddenly, we were just a group of people working toward similar goals, appreciating each other in the moment. No exams, no drama, no obligations—just island time. 😉😉

Thank you all for being part of this adventure and for listening to my ramblings. No baking update this week—life got too crazy—but hopefully this weekend!

As always, enjoy your adventure and make the best out of a bad week.
