Well it been a mintue, and within the mintue-a lot of things has happened- but maybe that just the defintion of life.
We’ve all had our minute. I can’t speak for anyone else’s, but mine? I can sum it up pretty quickly:
- Took an exam.
- Failed that exam—but passed just enough to get off the island.
- Went on vacation.
- Came back and started an 8-week program to retake the exam I had failed.
So… what does this actually mean?
Well first off—I officially completed my basic sciences. Can I get a loud “HECK YEA” from the back?!
It also means I’m back in the States and studying again—but here’s the twist: while I’m enrolled in an 8-week program, it’s mostly self-directed. And that’s been… interesting. I’m still finding my groove, but I think I’m starting to settle in during this first week.
It also means I finally get to share some of my vacation adventures with you all! I’m especially excited to dive into the historical highlights—it’s gonna be fun to explore and explain.
But let’s talk about the real heart of this blog: my writing.
I’ll be honest. That last semester of basic sciences took a lot out of me. I’m still recovering creatively, still getting back into the rhythm. Right now, I’m slowly working on poetry, Book 2 of Blessed, and a few sweet little short stories on the side.
Writing isn’t paused—it’s just moving at a slower pace than I’d like. But I’m giving myself grace because I’m also working toward passing this exam on the second try. And that matters too.
So stay tuned for fun, cute vacation blog posts and writing updates. I’m genuinely excited to see where my next poetry collection goes—and of course, the Blessed characters have already made half their decisions. It’s just up to me to write it all down.
Thanks, as always, for being here with me on this adventure.
