Another exam came and went, and life continues on. The grade isn’t out yet, of course—because that would make life a little too easy. But this path to becoming a medical doctor is always full of twists and surprises. I took my latest exam last Thursday, starting around 7:40 AM and finishing around 1-ish. I wish I could peek into the future to know whether I got the score I needed… but I can’t.
Still, life doesn’t stop after an exam. I’ve gone on to visit my wonderful sister in her state, attended a Korean concert (which—if you’ve never been to one—truly feels magical), and now I’m packing my bags for a family trip to South Dakota. Grades should come out soon—either tomorrow or the next day.
For now, I’ve been trying to catch up on everything else in my life. I just finished the first draft of my latest poetry novel (so stay tuned for that!). I know it was supposed to come out earlier this year, but I couldn’t quite find the right words for some of the poems. Now I’m proud of how the draft turned out. It still needs some fine-tuning, and I’ve asked my sister to review it—so hopefully she brings good news. I’ll be working on the cover art soon.
I also finished The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien and plan to start the third book soon—hopefully with a full Lord of the Rings review coming your way. I’ve also been able to focus on updating parts of this website. So yes, life paused a little for the exam, but it hasn’t ended. It keeps going. Hopefully, good news will come at the end of this week. I’m ready to tackle Step 1 and move into the clinical portion of my education—but who knows where life will take us?
I hope everyone’s found time for some sort of summer adventure—even if it was just a day at a cute coffee shop or a dusty old used bookstore. We all deserve a break from the fast pace of life.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with me. I hope to bring some amazing things by the end of this year! 💫
