There only so many excuses I can use to not start the second book of the Chronicle of the Blessed. I could keep pointing out I have exams or studying or everything in between that. But when it comes down to it, it just a fear of starting a new project after how long it took to write the Fall of Seliden. It seems insane that I have to go all the way back to a simple rough draft. I know these characters. I love these characters. So in theory there should not be any fears of starting their next chapter?
Ha…. I wish that how it words but it is back to the basics. It is back to the drawing board and rough drafts. Deleting whole paragraphs. Letting the characters write their own stories and everything else in between. It back to the wondering if I am being bold enough or sublet enough. The final draft contains the pride and the joy at finishing the work. But the first rough draft? That is the worries and the fears.
BUT! Saying all of this, it is finally time to start to work on the second book and getting back to building this brilliant world that lives in my head. Fear is not something that should ever stop you from completing a dream and I have already did the hardest part; putting myself out there. So from here, it could only get easier. One word at a time and one chapter at a time.
First paragraph of Book 2 has been completed and soon all of y’all who started this adventure with me will be able to see where it goes! What path will we take? Only time will tell ππ
